Co-packing
Pusterla 1880 not only produces secondary packaging, but also acts as a partner for co-packing activities (in full, contract-packing), which allow customers to streamline and simplify the logistics of their products.
In practice, this means putting in place a customised contract-packing service that can include various types of quality control, reworking and finishing, and the addition of accessories to complete the packaging cycle, up to and including packing for secure transport.
Expertise, experience, geographical proximity and flexibility are strategic fundamental to reducing costs and optimizing distribution flow.

Eco-Design
Experience and an aptitude for problem-solving characterise the Pusterla 1880 team; it is focused on packaging research and development, designing novel solutions, and achieving customer requirements through bar-raising innovation.
The focus on sustainability is paired with a development model that is more socially inclusive, more respectful of the environment, and more oriented towards safeguarding the future of the next generations.
While the quest for innovation is carried out in service of individual customer products—design and research on industrialisation simplifies the production of the most particular packaging—the continuous improvement process is focused simultaneously on improving the ecological impact of the product and its manufacture.

R&D
Pusterla develops new products and alternative materials and acquires patents to offer additional competitive advantages to its customers.
An original example is Caleco, Pusterla 1880’s sustainable alternative to thermo-formed inserts: an aesthetically sound solution that reduces design and production time as well as the use of plastic, a material that can be entirely eliminated by using 100% FSC thermo-compressed cellulose.
Among the patents licensed by the group is Pusterla 1880’s Tamper Evident line, plastic-free packaging with clear advantages in terms of production costs, product protection and aesthetics. It has incorporated IGB’s patented tamper-evident system, which is already successfully used in the pharmaceutical sector.

Prototyping and industrialisation
Pusterla 1880 provides customers with a prototyping and sampling service.
In fact, thanks to a dedicated department, it can create prototypes and pre-production samples to show to customers, as well as limited-edition series to be used for market research or presentations.

Import-export and logistic
Pusterla’s international presence ensures cultural and territorial proximity to customers, making it an ideal partner for packaging production and logistics management. An example? Through its closeness to whisky distilling plants, the production unit in Scotland can support customers in co-packing activities, logistics and product distribution.
