Official Opening of Pusterla 1880 Tunisia – Sousse

A strategic opening in Tunisia

On 12 May 2026Pusterla1880 officially inaugurated its new production site in Sousse, marking an important milestone in the Group’s international development and its long-term presence in the Mediterranean region.

More than a new industrial facility, the Sousse site represents a strategic investment aligned with Pusterla 1880’s vision of combining industrial excellence, craftsmanship, innovation and people. Located in one of the most dynamic manufacturing areas of Tunisia, the new hub strengthens the Group’s ability to support leading global beauty, fragrances, premium drinks and jewelry brands with advanced luxury packaging solutions.

A Strategic Choice at the Heart of the Mediterranean

Tunisia has increasingly established itself as a key industrial platform thanks to its skilled workforce, strong connections with Europe and a rapidly evolving manufacturing ecosystem.

In this context, Tunisia plays a central role in Pusterla 1880’s proximity strategy: being closer to clients not only geographically, but also in terms of service quality, flexibility and project development.

Technology, Know-how and Production Excellence

The new site has been designed around a semi-automated production model, integrating modern production lines with a strong focus on quality, precision and attention to detail.

With a team of around 260 employees that, combined with the existing Tunisian site, brings the total workforce to around 600 people, Pusterla 1880 Tunisie combines technology and know-how to deliver high-end secondary packaging for the beauty and fragrance, wine and spirits, fashion and jewellery industries.

Investment, Growth and Sustainability

The project included an initial investment of €4 million, with an additional €3 million planned for future expansion phases.

Investments focus not only on production technologies, but also on training, workplace safety, sustainability and the development of local skills, reflecting Pusterla 1880’s long-term commitment to responsible growth.

An Inauguration Shared

The official opening ceremony was held in the presence of local and international authorities, institutional representatives and industry partners.

Among the attendees were Andrea Prunas, Ambassador of Italy to Tunisia, and Mourad Fradi, President of the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce, whose participation highlighted the strategic importance of the investment both for the local territory and for the development of industrial cooperation between Tunisia and Europe.

For Pusterla 1880, every new production site is first and foremost a place of shared growth — where technology, craftsmanship and industrial culture come together to generate lasting value for people, territories and the brands that choose the Group as their partner.
